Experience in Pekalongan

My first experience in Pekalongan, is the hometown of my bestfriend, Eva. I was there when the semester break holiday just for one week. While in there I visited various kinds of nature tourism, like Bidadari waterfall, Guci of hot water baths in Tegal, Sand Beach Kencana, Kleta, Gemek, and many more. But i just want to tell about Bidadari waterfall and Sand Beach Kencana. Here we go..

First about Bidadari waterfall, Geographically and administratively this waterfall is included in the area of Pekalongan, precisely in the village Purbo Jolotigo, Talun district, Pekalongan. Bidadari waterfall is located about 850 meters above sea level (mdpl) is indeed located in the forestry area. The location is about 30 minutes from Kajen or 60 minutes from Pekalongan City. There is no public transportation to get there. For those of you who are interested there, you should ride a private vehicle or used motorcycle because it is easier, and faster to get there. Don’t worry about getting lost because of the many signs posted in every corner of the village as directions. and I also use GPS.

Track to waterfall across the mountains, during the trip is very cold and the view is beautiful because surrounded by many tall and dense trees as it passes through the forest and the road is always uphill.

Arriving at the signpost of Bidadari waterfall we do not directly reach the destination, from the signpost to the parking place is quite to far, we still have to keep walking around the street that rigged by many pine trees and the distinctive voice of the forest animals.

when we get parked we are greeted with the guard of the sights and pay the ticket, I forget how much the ticket price. Not expensive, really cheap like not until Rp. 20.000 and that’s for 2 person included parking ticket. Along the path to Bidadari waterfall vegetation is dominated by plantations, such as rubber, cloves, coffee and bamboo. the road is very steep and difficult, full of stairs takes about 20-30 minutes by walk to the waterfall. but after arriving at the destination the place is very nice.

we are immediately traeated to the flow of the river that the water is very clear, look greenish and natural. There is a lot of rocks and cliffs. I got there around 3 pm and this place closed at 5 pm. only me and my bestfriend who are in there, just we are who swimming there for that time, very quiet. But even though there were two guard men in there. The water is very cold, from the waterfall directly, too bad the water is not too high because I be there during the dry season. Although it looks shallow but it’s deep enough to swimming. nice place to chill.

Advantages from this place :

* The water is very clear, and cold but that is not too frozen, so bathing here is guaranteed very refreshing.

* The location is outlying place, so nature.

* New tourist attraction, automatic yet everyone has come here, guaranteed to have pride when visiting this tourist spot, and according to info, withdrawal entrance and new parking area opened about a month ago, before if the motor was parked without guard.

* The price of admission is relatively cheap, and the guard is good, automatic we do not need to worry anymore when leaving our motorcycle. Because these attractions are still managed by local residents.

* Rental tires as a relatively cheap float, Rp 5000 / pcs without time limit.

* Clear paths and lots of road signs, so do not be afraid to get lost in the forest.

Deficiency :

* Remote location and no public transport, so to here must use a private vehicle. Create a backpacker who usually travel by public transport, may need motorcycle.

* Track to waterfall across the mountains, automatically requires energy. It takes a fit body condition.

* Lack of facilities, because the location of this tour is still new so do not expect there are adequate facilities, such as toilets, bathroom rinse and change of clothes, bins, saung for shade, border / lane guard, all that is still limited and less good.

* There are no permanent food stalls at the point of tourist location, so to anticipate the hungry stomach when after swimming, visitors must bring their own food supplies.

And Then many days later after that, me and my bestfriend went to Sand Beach Kencana, I twice went there. the place is so nice, and it does not cost anything to visit there, no ticketing, it’s free. And Around the beach so many residents and their house who open food stalls and drink and place to rinse water if anyone wants to swim in the beach. I am quite happy to play on that beach, not disappointing, nice to play sand and relax, good to make and take nice pictures and the palce is near from Kedungwuni my friend's house just about 30-40 minutes drive a motorcycle. I Recommended this place to try even though not really special or something like amazing but at least this place it’s free and you can play in there whenever you want

Advantages from this place :

* The location is easy to catch

* There are food stalls, or to anticipate the hungry visitors can bring their own food supplies.

* Free, no ticketing at all. Untill the parking too.

Deficiency :

* There many trash and stuff in the around beach

* less trash can, need more trash can
